Biography
Dr. Harris has been licensed as a Clinical Psychologist in Washington since 1983. His experience, training and publications cover a varied range, with emphasis on several aspects of Behavioral Medicine, including substance abuse, neuropsychological assessment, post traumatic stress disorders and most recently, chronic pain. His current clinical and research interest is focused on examination and manipulation of treatment components to minimize clients’ subjective distress and maximize resumption of work and life activities. Michael serves as Secretary of the Washington State Pain Interest Consortium and is a member of the American Psychological Association, Washington State Psychological Association, and the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
Education
Dr. Harris received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Psychology
from the University of Idaho, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from
Washington State University.
Professional Background
In 1991, Dr. Harris joined UBC, Inc., becoming a part-owner of the
clinic and a member of the UBC Board of Directors in July, 1995. Three
years later, he was elected Vice President of the Board and an officer
of the company.
