Patient Testimonials: David S.Ten weeks at UBC and I have changed my attitude and outlook on life.
I had been working as a journeyman carpenter when, on October 27, 2005, a 926-pound load crushed me. After having eighteen procedures and numerous surgeries, I gave up. I was released from the hospital and spent two years on pain killers, lying in bed or in a recliner. I had been fitted with headgear and Cavalier bracing around my neck and torso. I was confined in the home, as there was no hope of me driving. However, ten weeks at UBC and I have changed my attitude and outlook on life. New hope and big strides. By the grace of UBC, I was able to get in this truck and drive!
